A detachable cushioning pad for a tracked vehicle includes an elongated body having an interior surface that defines an interior cavity with openings at the opposed ends in communication with the interior cavity. A cushioning pad is mounted on a top surface of the body. Clamping members extend through the openings at the opposed ends of the body into the interior cavity. The clamping members are movable along a longitudinal axis to selectively position a track engaging end of each of the clamping members. A lock is positioned within the interior cavity of the body for locking the clamping members in a selected axial portion. The lock has a quick release mechanism on an exterior of the body.
