ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: A detachable, low wattage track mounting lamp of the type, comprising a track for mounting at least a project lamp via a transformer. The transformer comprises a casing having a first pair of strip conductors at the top and inserted in the track to electrically connect to an external power supply through two strip conductors fas- tened in a groove defined in the track and a second pair of strip conductors disposed inside a square recess defined therein at the bottom. The project lamp comprises a bracket having a pair of strip conductors fastened in the square recess to electrically connect with the second pair of strip conductors of said transformer.
