Systems and methods for detecting and mapping power loss in a wired power network having at least one feeder node wired to a plurality of meter nodes by a plurality of power lines are described. In accordance with this inventive detecting and mapping scheme, a communication signal is sent from the feeder node to the plurality of meter nodes over the power lines, the communication signal is received at the meter nodes, and a signal representative of the received communication signal is transmitted from the meter nodes to a system controller.
