A method for detecting tissue abnormality, particularly precancerous cervical tissue, through fluorescence spectroscopy is disclosed. In vitro fluorescence measurements over a variety of different fluorescence spectra are used to screen tissue samples. Using a principal component analysis (PCA), it is possible to discriminate between normal and dysplastic tissues with relatively low false-positive and false-negative results.
L'invention porte sur une méthode de détection des anomalies tissulaires et notamment celles que présentent les tissus cervicaux précancéreux par spectroscopie par fluorescence. Les mesures de fluorescence in vitro sont effectuées sur une variété de spectres différents de fluorescence pour analyser les échantillons de tissus. L'analyse de la composante principale permet de distinguer les tissus normaux des tissus dysplasiques avec relativement peu de résultats faux-positifs ou faux-négatifs.
