An assay to simultaneously detect the presence of one or more HIV subtypes of HIV-1 antibody and/or HIV-2 antibody in a test sample is disclosed. The analytes are captured on the same or different solid phases and the presence of the analytes is determined by detecting a signal generated by using a cocktail of synthetic and recombinant antigen-containing indicator reagents. Preferred indicator reagents include a synthetic 19 amino acid cyclic peptide homologous to an immunodominant region of HIV-1 gp 41 and a synthetic 19 amino acid cyclic peptide homologous to an immunodominant region of HIV-2 gp 36.
L'invention concerne un dosage destiné à détecter simultanément la présence d'un ou de plusieurs sous-types d'anticorps anti VIH-1 et/ou d'anticorps anti VIH-2 du VIH, dans un échantillon de test. Les analytes sont capturés soit sur les mêmes phases solides soit sur des phases solides différentes, et on détermine la présence d'analytes par détection d'un signal généré à l'aide d'un cocktail de réactifs indicateurs contenant un antigène synthétiques et recombinés. On peut citer à titre de réactif indicateur préféré un peptide cyclique synthétique à 19 acides aminés homologue à une région immunodominante de gp 41 du VIH-1, et un peptide cyclique synthétique à 19 acides aminés homologue à une région immunodominante de la gp 36 du VIH-2.
