A system (1300) for facilitating the detection of an immobilized contrast agent in medical imaging applications is proposed. The system includes means (1303-1306) for providing a sequence of a total number of input images obtained at corresponding acquisition instants by imaging a body-part (155) of a patient subjected to an administration of a contrast agent capable of circulating within the patient and of being substantially immobilized on a biological target, each input image including a plurality of input values each one indicative of a response to an interrogation signal of a corresponding portion of the body-part possibly including said contrast agent, and means (1309-1369) for reducing a contribution of the circulating contrast agent within the body-part in at least one selected input image; the means for reducing includes means (1309-1369) for creating a filtered image corresponding to each selected input image by replacing a set of input values of the selected input image with a set of corresponding filtered values, each filtered value being representative of the lowest response of the corresponding portion of the body- part in a set of multiple input images including the selected input image, the set of multiple input images consisting of a number of input images lower than the total number.
L'invention porte sur un système (1300) qui permet de faciliter la détection d'un agent de contraste immobilisé dans des applications d'imagerie médicale. Le système de l'invention comprend: des moyens (1303-1306) qui permettent de produire une séquence composée d'un nombre total d'images d'entrée obtenues à des instants d'acquisition correspondants, en formant l'image d'une partie corporelle (155) d'un patient auquel a été administré un agent de contraste capable de circuler à l'intérieur du patient et de sensiblement s'immobiliser sur une cible biologique, chaque image d'entrée comprenant une pluralité de valeurs d'entrée indiquant chacune une réponse à un signal d'interrogation d'une partie correspondante de la partie corporelle susceptible de contenir ledit agent de contraste; et des moyens (1309-1369) qui permettent de créer une image filtrée correspondant à chaque image d'entrée choisie en remplaçant un ensemble de valeurs d'entrée de l'image d'entrée choisie par un ensemble de valeurs filtrées correspondantes, chaque valeur filtrée étant représentative de la réponse la plus faible de la partie correspondante de la partie corporelle dans un ensemble de multiples images d'entrée comprenant l'image d'entrée choisie, l'ensemble de multiples images d'entrée étant composé d'un nombre d'images d'entrée inférieur au nombre total d'images d'entrée.
