A method and kit for detecting microorganisms in a mass or liquid or on a surface. The method is conducted by obtaining a sample and within a sterile chamber of limited volumetric capacity placing the sample in contact with a composition adapted to detect microorganisms. The sterile chamber may contain a filter for isolating any microorganisms present in the sample. Sterile sampling instruments, a delineating instrument and means for typing the microorganisms may also be provided.

Cette invention concerne un procédé et un nécessaire permettant de détecter des micro-organismes dans une masse, un liquide ou sur une surface. Ce procédé consiste à prélever un échantillon et à le placer dans une chambre stérile possédant une capacité volumétrique limitée. L'échantillon est ensuite mis en contact avec une composition permettant de détecter les micro-organismes. La chambre stérile peut renfermer un filtre permettant d'isoler tout micro-organisme présent dans l'échantillon. Cette invention concerne également des instruments d'échantillonnage, un instrument de délimitation, ainsi qu'un système de typage des micro-organismes.
