A system to form and store an electrocardiogram (ECG) signal derived from a cardiac electrical signal that includes an apparatus having a pair of the electrodes (23) to connect to a patient to detect the cardiac electrical signal. A signal sampler (27) samples the cardiac electrical signal to form the ECG signal. A data storage device (29) stores the ECG signal. A computer (31) communicates with the data storage device to retrieve the ECG signal for analysis by software stored in the memory (33) of the computer. The software analyzes a morphology of the amplitude of a plurality of R-wave peaks contained within the ECG signal and/or analyzes a morphology of the area of a plurality of QRS complex pulses contained within the ECG signal.

L'invention concerne un système permettant de former et de stocker un signal électrocardiogramme (ECG) dérivé d'un signal électrique cardiaque qui comprend un appareil présentant une paire d'électrodes destinées à être reliées à un patient afin de détecter le signal électrique cardiaque. Un échantillonneur de signaux échantillonne le signal électrique cardiaque afin de former le signal ECG. Un dispositif de stockage des données stocke le signal ECG. Un ordinateur communique avec le dispositif de stockage des données afin de récupérer le signal ECG destiné à être analysé par un logiciel stocké dans la mémoire de l'ordinateur.
