ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE DETERGENT COMPOSITION Detergent compositions containing primary alkyl sulphate and/or nonionic surfactant also contain alkane 1,2- diol. This leads to improved oily soil detergency when certain requirements as to proportions are complied with. Nonionic surfactant may be ethoxylated fatty alcohol. Alkylpolyglycoside is also possible.
