A denture cleansing composition an inorganic persalt bleaching agent, an effervescence generator and a dimethicone copolyol selected from alkyl- and alkoxy-dimethicone copolyols having formula (1), wherein X is selected from hydrogen, alkyl, alkoxy and acyl groups having from about 1 to about 16 carbon atoms, Y is selected from alkyl and alkoxy groups having from about 8 to about 22 carbon atoms, n is from about 0 to about 200, m is from about 1 to about 40, q is from about 1 to about 100, the molecular weight of the residue (C2H4O-)x(C3H6O-)y X is from about 50 to about 2000, and x and y are such that the weight ratio of oxyethylene:oxypropylene is from about 100:0 to about 0:100. The composition provides improved antiplaque, cleansing and anti-bacterial activity together with excellent physical and in-use performance characteristics.
Composition pour le nettoyage des appareils dentaires contenant un agent de blanchiment à base de persel inorganique, un effervescent et un copolyol de diméthicone choisi parmi des copolyols d'alkyl- et d'alcoxy-diméthicone de formule (I): (I) X étant choisi parmi hydrogène et des groupes alkyle, alcoxy et acyle à 1 à 16 atomes de carbone environ; Y étant choisi parmi des groupes alkyle et alcoxy à 8 à 22 atomes de carbone environ; n étant compris entre 0 et 200 environ, m entre 1 et 40 environ et q entre 1 et 100 environ; la masse moléculaire du résidu (C2H4O-)x(C3H6O-)yX se situant entre 50 et 2 000 environ; et x et y étant tels que le rapport pondéral oxyéthylène/oxypropylène soit compris entre 100 à 0 et 0 à 100 environ. La composition possède des propriétés antitartre, nettoyantes et bactéricides améliorées, de très bonnes caractéristiques physiques et d'excellentes performances d'utilisation.
