A tablet of compacted particulate detergent composition including surfactant and detergency builder, suitable for fabric washing, is sub-divided into a plurality of discrete regions with differing compositions. At least one region of the tablet contains a water-swellable polymer serving to promote disintegration of this region. The polymer is present in this region in a concentration greater than in at least one other region of the tablet so as to cause disintegration of the region at a greater speed than disintegration of another region of the tablet.

L'invention concerne une pastille de composition détergente présentée sous forme de particules compactées, contenant un agent tensioactif et un adjuvant pour détergents, s'utilisant dans le lavage de textiles. Cette pastille est sous-divisée en une pluralité de zones distinctes dont la composition diffère. Au moins une zone de la pastille contient un polymère qui gonfle au contact de l'eau et sert à activer la désintégration de cette zone. La concentration du polymère dans cette zone est supérieure à la concentration du polymère dans au moins une autre zone de la pastille et ce, dans le but de provoquer une désintégration de la zone plus rapide que celle d'une autre zone de la pastille.
