A detergent dispensing device for an automatic washing machine, the device having a plurality of chambers to accommodate a detergent composition, a selecting means to selectively expose each chamber to wash liquor allowing the detergent, in use, to be washed out of the chamber; a manual operating means being movable from a first position to a second position for loading mechanical energy into the device which provides a restoring force for the operating means, and a return motion prevention means to retain the operating means in the second position, the return motion prevention means being arranged to move when subjected to a condition prevailing in an interior of the machine during a wash cycle, thereby moving the operating means to the first position or releasing the operating means to return to the first position during a single wash cycle; the operating means being arranged to move the selecting means and cartridge relatively to one another to advance the selecting means to an adjacent chamber as it moves either from the first to the second position, the second to the first position, or both.
Dispositif de distribution de détergent pour lave-linge automatique. Le dispositif ci-décrit possède une pluralité de chambres pour recevoir une composition de détergent, un moyen de sélection pour exposer sélectivement chaque chambre à la liqueur de lavage permettant au détergent utilisé dans ce cas d~être évacué de la chambre par lavage, un moyen fonctionnel manuel pouvant être déplacé d~une première position à une seconde position pour charger l~énergie mécanique dans le dispositif qui confère une force de rétablissement au moyen fonctionnel, et un moyen empêchant un mouvement de retour pour retenir le moyen fonctionnel à la seconde position, le moyen empêchant un mouvement de retour étant agencé de manière à se déplacer quand il est soumis à une condition prédominante dans une partie intérieure de la machine pendant un cycle de lavage, déplaçant ainsi le moyen fonctionnel à la première position ou relâchant le moyen fonctionnel pour qu~il retourne à la première position pendant un seul cycle de lavage ; le moyen fonctionnel étant agencé pour déplacer le moyen de sélection et la cartouche l~un rapport à l~autre afin de faire avancer le moyen de sélection vers une chambre adjacente lorsqu~il se déplace de la première à la seconde position, de la seconde à la première position, ou les deux.
