The appropriate antisera are obtained when the immunogen used takes the form of peptides which contain a part sequence of the fibrin molecule, in particular a peptide containing the aminoacid sequence of the terminal groups which are exposed by splitting off the fibrinopeptides. Antisera with monoclonal antibodies are preferred.
