A method or process (40) for providing an anti-myopia lens or treatment for a patient's eye with progressive myopia, which involves (in one form) generating biometric data (42) relating to the central and peripheral refractive errors of the eye, optionally together with data relating to the patient's visual or lifestyle needs (44) and the patient's predisposition to progressive myopia (46). This data is input to a processor or algorithm (48) that generates a basic lens design (51 ), a customised design (53) or a program (55) for reshaping the cornea of the eye. The selected modality (52, 54 or 56) is applied to the patient (60) and its suitability is assessed (62, 50) with the result of the assessment feedback to the algorithm (48) to generate a refined output design (52, 54 or 56), which is applied to the patient. The process is repeated at intervals to check continued myopia progression and adjust the design of the selected modality after further measurement.
L'invention porte sur une méthode ou un procédé (40) pour fournir une lentille anti-myopie ou un traitement anti-myopie pour l'AEil d'un patient présentant une myopie progressive. Dans un mode de réalisation, la méthode met en jeu la génération de données biométriques (42) se rapportant aux erreurs de réfraction centrale et périphérique de l'AEil, facultativement conjointement avec des données se rapportant aux besoins visuels ou de mode de vie du patient (44) et à la prédisposition du patient à une myopie progressive (46). Ces données sont entrées dans un processeur ou algorithme (48) qui génère un agencement de lentille de base (51) et un agencement particularisé (53) ou un programme (55) pour refaçonner la cornée de l'AEil. La modalité sélectionnée (52, 54 ou 56) est appliquée au patient (60) et son caractère approprié est évalué (62, 50) avec le résultat à la rétroaction d'évaluation à l'algorithme (48) pour générer un agencement de sortie raffiné (52, 54 ou 56), appliqué au patient. Le procédé est répété à intervalles pour vérifier la progression de myopie continue et ajuster l'agencement de la modalité sélectionnée après une nouvelle mesure.
