A high pressure cylindrical device with sonic transducers located at both ends of the device has been developed to accurately define the phase transition phenomena of matter contained within the cylindrical device. A sonic pulse in the audible range displays specific features of various types of phase transition while passing through the cylindrical container containing samples of matter undergoing phase change phenomena. The apparatus and technology described herein has been developed for chemical, petroleum and reservoir engineering phase behaviour applications, and has been analyzed and evaluated on the basis of bubblepoint, dewpoint, asphaltene precipitation, wax formation and hydrate development.
Un appareil cylindrique à haute pression avec des transducteurs soniques à ses deux extrémités a été mis au point pour définir avec précision le phénomène de transition de phase de la matière contenue dans le cylindre. Une impulsion sonique dans la plage audible présente des caractéristiques spécifiques de divers types de transition de phase en traversant le récipient cylindrique contenant des échantillons de la matière qui subit le phénomène de changement de phase. L'appareil et la technologie que décrit la présente invention ont été mis au point pour des applications en comportement de phase dans le domaine du génie chimique, de l'industrie du pétrole et de la technologie des réservoirs, et ont été analysés et évalués en ce qui a trait au point de bulle, au point de rosée, à la précipitation de l'asphaltène, à la formation de cire et au développement d'hydrates.
