The invention relates to a method for determining alcohol concentrations in an alcohol/water-mixture found in fuels cells operated using said mixture, in particular direct-methanol-fuel-cells. A portion of the alcohol/water-mixture is separated and transported against a predefined pressure. The separated part of the mixture is heated to boiling, the boiling temperature is measured and the amount of alcohol in the mixture is determined.

L'invention concerne un procédé de détermination de la concentration d'alcool du mélange alcool/eau faisant fonctionner des piles à combustible, en particulier des piles à combustible direct à méthanol. Selon ledit procédé, une partie du mélange alcool/eau est séparée et conduite à l'encontre d'une pression prédéterminée, ladite partie séparée du mélange est portée à ébullition, la température d'ébullition est mesurée, et la proportion d'alcool contenue dans le mélange est déterminée à partir du résultat de cette mesure.
