An apparatus for determining the proper positioning of progressive power corrective lenses is disclosed. The apparatus includes a target such as a small fiber optic light source (1228A) and one or more marking rods which may be activated by the patient. While wearing pre-fitted frames (1246) and fixating on a remote target, the patient places the light source against the exterior surface of the lens and positions the light so that it is centered in the patient's line of sight (94). Once the light is centered, the marking rod is activated which contacts, and marks, the exterior surface of the lens. Because in some embodiments of the apparatus the light source and marking rod are designed to obstruct very little of the patient's vision, his or her peripheral vision remains intact during the process.
On décrit un appareil pour positionner correctement des verres correcteurs à puissance progressivement variable. L'appareil comprend une cible, par exemple une petite source lumineuse à fibre optique (1228A) et une ou plusieurs tiges de marquage qui peuvent être actionnées par le patient. Le patient chausse la paire de lunettes (1246), il fixe une cible éloignée, il place la source lumineuse contre la surface externe du verre et il positionne la lumière pour qu'elle coïncide avec sa ligne de vision (94).
