MULDARY and ERDAL TANSEV, citizens, respectively, of the United States and Turkey and residing, respectively, in Walnut Creek, County of Contra Costa, and in the City and County of San Francisco, both in the State of California, have invented new and useful improvements in DETERMINING STEAM QUALITY of which the following is a specification: ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Method and apparatus for determining the quality of wet steam flowing in a steam line utilizing the relationship between critical flow pressure (Pc) and upstream pressure (Pu) to develop a critical pressure ratio Pc/Pu to obtain the steam water mixture inlet enthalpy (H) from empirical curves and the steam quality from the equation: Image where hw = specific enthalpy of water, and hs = specific enthalpy of steam bath both at Pu. -1-
