A trigger offset signal is applied at the control terminal of an electronic switch in the circuitry, to substantially nullify the effect of RF noise and static electricity on the conductivity of that switch. In the preferred embodiments of the invention, this offset signal is derived from at least one capacitor which is connected to that control terminal through the normally opened contacts of a target arrival switch on a missile warhead. The electrical energy required for detonator ignition may also be applied from at least one capacitor in such embodiments and shunt resistors may be connected to dissipate the energy stored in these capacitors for safety reasons.
