The invention provides a fastener (10) which has an actuating means (12), a bias means (14) and a flexible core (16). The flexible core (16) has an engagement means (18) which may be integral with but is preferable separate from the flexible core (16). The actuating means (12) includes a material adapted to contract when activated, such as shape memory alloy. Upon contraction of this material, the engagement means (18) is movable between an engagement position and a disengagement position. The bias means (14) biases the flexible core (16) to the engagement position.
Cette invention concerne une fixation (10) pourvue d'un moyen de commande (12), d'un moyen de sollicitation (14) et d'un noyau souple (16). Le noyau souple (16) présente un moyen d'engrènement (18) qui peut faire partie intégrante du noyau souple (16) mais qui est, de préférence, indépendant de ce dernier. Le moyen de commande (12) comprend un matériau conçu pour se contracter lorsqu'il est actionné, tel qu'un alliage à mémoire de forme. Lors de la contraction de ce matériau, le moyen d'engrènement (18) est mobile entre une position d'engrènement et une position de dégagement. Le moyen de sollicitation (14) pousse le noyau souple (16) vers la position d'engrènement.
