For analyzing an information signal having a sequence of blocks of information units, wherein a plurality of consecutive blocks of the sequence of blocks represents an information entity, using a sequence of fingerprints for the sequence of blocks, identification results are provided (12) for consecutive fingerprints, wherein an identification result represents an association of a block of information units with a predetermined information entity. Then at least two hypotheses are formed (14) from the identification results for the consecutive fingerprints, wherein a first hypothesis is an assumption for the association of the sequence of blocks with a first information entity, and wherein the second hypothesis is an assumption for the association of the sequence of blocks with the second information entity. Then various hypotheses are examined (16) to obtain an examination result on the basis of which there is then made (20) a statement on the information signal. This achieves a meaningful and reliable time-continuous analysis of an information signal.
Pour analyser un signal d'information comportant une suite de blocs d'unités d'information, une pluralité de blocs successifs de ladite suite de blocs constituant une entité d'information, il est prévu de préparer, à l'aide d'une suite d'empreintes digitales pour la suite de blocs, des résultats d'identification (12) pour des empreintes digitales successives, un résultat d'identification constituant l'appartenance d'un bloc d'unités d'information à une entité d'informations prédéterminée. Sur la base des résultats d'identification, au moins deux hypothèses sont émises (14) pour les empreintes digitales successives. Une première hypothèse constitue une supposition d'appartenance de la suite de blocs à une première entité d'informations et la seconde hypothèse est une supposition d'appartenance de la suite de blocs à la seconde entité d'informations. Différentes hypothèses sont ensuite examinées (16), afin d'obtenir un résultat d'examen, sur la base duquel une proposition concernant le signal d'information est ensuite émise. Cette procédure permet de parvenir à une analyse constante dans le temps, cohérente et fiable, d'un signal d'information.
