A surgical device and method used to assist in the surgical repair and rehabilitation of damaged and/or severed tendons. In one embodiment of the present invention, the device is comprised of a hollow member, preferably shaped as a partial funnel and/or cone, having an inner and outer surface, a flared mouth, a shaft, and an apical end. The device may further include a thin, elongated handle for ease of manipulation, and can be implantable or non-implantable. The present invention further discloses a method of passing a severed flexor tendon and/or repair site through the edge of a pulley in the flexor tendon sheath.
L'invention concerne un dispositif et un procédé chirurgicaux utilisés pour assister la réparation et la réhabilitation chirurgicales de tendons lésés et/ou coupés. Dans un mode de réalisation de la présente invention, le dispositif est composé d'un organe creux, de préférence en forme d'entonnoir et/ou de cône partiel, ayant une surface interne et une surface externe, un goulot évasé, un arbre et une extrémité apicale. Le dispositif peut comprendre en outre une poignée fine et allongée pour faciliter la manipulation, et peut être implantable ou non implantable. La présente invention révèle en outre un procédé pour faire passer un tendon fléchisseur coupé et/ou un site de réparation à travers le bord d'une poulie dans la gaine du tendon fléchisseur.
