A device and method for deagglomerating powder agglomerates for inhalation. The device includes an inlet (20) connected to a chamber (40) and to a powder source for supplying the chamber with powder agglomerates and a flow of gas that define a swirling fluid flow inside the chamber. The device also includes an outlet (22) connected to the chamber for inhalation such that the swirling fluid flow in the chamber can exit from the chamber as a longitudinal fluid flow that is directed along a longitudinal axis (X) of the outlet, and a secondary fluid flow that is directed away from the longitudinal axis of the outlet. A mesh (28) in the outlet prevents powder agglomerates above a predetermined size from traversing the mesh, and reduces the secondary fluid flow relative to the longitudinal fluid flow exiting from the chamber to thereby reduce powder deposition in a mouth and throat of a user.
L'invention concerne un dispositif et un procédé destinés à désagréger des agglomérats de poudre en vue d'une inhalation. Ce dispositif comprend une entrée (20) reliée à une chambre (40) et à une source de poudre servant à acheminer des agglomérats de poudre dans la chambre, un écoulement de gaz définissant un écoulement fluidique tourbillonnant à l'intérieur de la chambre. Le dispositif comprend également une sortie (22) reliée à la chambre en vue d'une inhalation et permettant à l'écoulement fluidique tourbillonnant de sortir de la chambre sous la forme d'un écoulement fluidique longitudinal dirigé le long d'un axe longitudinal (X) de la sortie et d'un écoulement fluidique secondaire dirigé dans le sens opposé à l'axe longitudinal de la sortie. Un tamis (28) disposé dans la sortie permet d'empêcher le passage des agglomérats de poudre dépassant une taille prédéterminée et de réduire l'écoulement fluidique secondaire par rapport à l'écoulement fluidique longitudinal sortant de la chambre, d'où la réduction du dépôt de poudre dans la bouche et la gorge d'un utilisateur.
