The invention relates to a device for discriminating Cerenkov and scintillation radiation and a beam inspection device, comprising an inspection head comprising a scintillator (13) and at least one ionizing radiation diffuser block (15a, 15b), a device (1) for discriminating Cerenkov and scintillation radiation, and an imaging system (17) for forming an image from at least a part of the inspection head. The invention furthermore relates to a corresponding method. In order to suppress spurious Cerenkov radiation contributions to the scintillation radiation the device comprises periodically arranged first and second filters (3, 5), having different relative absorption properties with respect to scintillation radiation and ionizing radiation. The invention also relates to an imaging apparatus comprising means for reducing parasitic contributions to a signal of interest, wherein the apparatus comprises a modulation mask for modulating a signal of interest, wherein, in particular, the signal of interest is the signal illuminating the object or the signal emitted or reflected from the object, and an image analyzing means configured to remove - at least partially - parasitic contributions added to the modulated signal of interest based on the shift of the signal of interest towards higher frequencies due to the modulation.
L'invention concerne un dispositif permettant de discriminer le rayonnement Cerenkov et le rayonnement de scintillation, et un dispositif d'inspection de faisceau comprenant une tête d'inspection comportant un scintillateur (13) et au moins un bloc diffuseur de rayonnement ionisant (15a, 15b), un dispositif (1) permettant de discriminer le rayonnement Cerenkov et le rayonnement de scintillation, et un système d'imagerie (17) pour former une image à partir d'au moins une partie de la tête d'inspection. L'invention concerne en outre un procédé correspondant. Afin de supprimer les contributions du rayonnement Cerenkov parasite au rayonnement de scintillation, le dispositif comprend un premier et second filtre arrangés de façon périodique (3, 5) ayant différentes propriétés d'absorption relative par rapport au rayonnement de scintillation et au rayonnement ionisant. L'invention concerne également un appareil d'imagerie comprenant un moyen pour réduire les contributions parasitaires à un signal d'intérêt, l'appareil comprenant un masque de modulation pour moduler un signal d'intérêt, en particulier le signal d'intérêt étant le signal éclairant l'objet ou le signal émis ou réfléchi par l'objet, et un moyen d'analyse d'image configuré pour retirer ~ au moins partiellement ~ les contributions parasites ajoutées au signal de modulation d'intérêt sur la base du décalage du signal d'intérêt vers des fréquences supérieures en raison de la modulation.
