A device for driving the induction heating coils of an induction hob, in which power is supplied to the induction heating coils via the electric power grid or a grid phase thereof, comprises a filter unit and a rectifier unit with at least one converter and intermediate circuit. For two induction heating coils, one recti- fier unit and two converters are connected to one filter unit. For a further in-duction heating coils, an additional converter is coupled downstream of one of the existing filter units.
