The invention relates to a device for exposing liquids to UV-rays, which, seen in the direction of flow, comprises an intake chamber (16), an irradiation chamber (18) and a discharge chamber (20). The irradiation chamber has UV radiation sources (36) which are either aligned in rows and/or stacked parallel to the flow (14). The device is designed as a channel with open top (10), and a containment wall (24) is provided across the direction of flow (14), between the intake chamber and the irradiation chamber. Said containment wall (24) is sized so as to cover part of the channel cross-section, while the lower edge of the containment wall (24) is located at a distance of the channel base (12). The outlet opening (22) thus formed is so sized that, in case of a flow rate increase and starting from a flow rate of 1 m/sec, the liquid accumulates in front of the outlet opening (22), resulting in the liquid level in the intake chamber (16) being higher than in the irradiation chamber (18).
La présente invention concerne un dispositif d'exposition de liquides aux rayons X, qui, vu dans le sens d'écoulement du liquide, comprend une chambre d'admission (16), une chambre de rayonnement (18) et une chambre d'évacuation (20). Dans la chambre de rayonnement sont installées des sources de rayons X (36) juxtaposées en rangées et/ou superposées dans un sens parallèle à l'écoulement (14). Le dispositif est conçu comme un canal ouvert vers le haut (10), et entre la chambre d'admission et la chambre de rayonnement est prévue un paroi de retenue (24) en travers du sens d'écoulement (14) du liquide, dont les dimensions ont été choisies de manière à couvrir en partie la section du canal, tandis que la bordure inférieure de la paroi de retenue (24) se trouve à distance de la semelle du canal (12). La taille de l'ouverture d'évacuation (22) est calculée de telle manière qu'en cas d'accroissement du débit et à partir d'une vitesse d'écoulement de 1 m/sec, le liquide s'accumule devant l'ouverture d'évacuation (22), en sorte que la chambre d'admission (16) présente un niveau de liquide plus élevé que dans la chambre de rayonnement (18).
