A device and method for more easily and economically attaching optical fibers between a fiber optic source and a customer are provided. The device includes a first conduit containing a plurality of micro-ducts through which optical fibers may be inserted. Splicing sleeves, allowing micro-ducts of the first conduit to be connected to micro-ducts of a second conduit, leading to a customer's communication system, are provided. A dart may be attached to an optical fiber, and the dart and micro-fiber may then be fed into a micro-duct of the first conduit at the fiber optic source. A source of compressed gas and a gas junction are provided on the first conduit, connected to the micro-ducts. When the compressed gas is discharged into the first conduit the dart and optical fiber may be propelled through the first conduit, the splicing sleeve, and into the second conduit to the customer's communication system. Welds at the fiber optic source and at the customer location may then be made to connect the customer to fiber optic lines.
