A device and a method are disclosed, for the shrinking of a shrinkable protective element (101) onto an optical fibre (100) by means of the introduction of heat. According to the invention, radiant heat is generated, reflected and focussed in a focal zone in which the protective element (101) is held. The device comprises a heating element (10), generating thermal radiation, a reflector (30), which focuses the thermal radiation emitted from the heating element in the focussing zone and a mounting (20), by means of which the protective element (101) can be held in the focussing zone.
L'invention concerne un dispositif et un procédé pour emmancher à chaud un élément de protection (101) sur un guide d'onde optique (100), lequel élément peut se contracter sous l'effet de la chaleur. Selon ledit procédé, un rayonnement thermique est produit, réfléchi et focalisé sur une zone de focalisation, dans laquelle l'élément de protection (101) est maintenu. Le dispositif comprend un élément chauffant (10) produisant un rayonnement thermique, un réflecteur (30), qui focalise sur la zone de focalisation le rayonnement thermique émis par l'élément chauffant, et une fixation (20), au moyen de laquelle l'élément de protection (101) peut être maintenu dans la zone de focalisation.
