A DEVICE FOR FIXING THE VANES OF A COMPRESSOR STATOR. ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE. The device comprises a chain which surrounds and bears against all the adjoining bases of the vanes disposed in a circumferentially extending groove in the stator housing. The chain has two end link structures each comprising link members. Adjacent ends of the link members have apertures and at least one plate provided with apertures is interposed between the link members of the end link structures and pivot pins extend through aligned apertures of the plate and the respective link members and interconnect the plate and end link structures. A method is described for putting the chain under tension and connecting the plate to the end link structures. - 1 -
