Device (20) for receiving and forwarding fax messages with control information and other information, which control information comprises destination address information (7(j)) and a transmission priority code (8(j)), and which device is provided with: a memory (32); decoding means (31) connected to the memory (32) for receiving the fax messages and for decoding the control information and for storing, for each fax message, the decoded control information together with the other information in the memory (32); fax forwarding means (33) connected to the memory (32) for reading, for each fax message, the decoded control information together with the other information out of the memory (32) and for forwarding at least the said other information of the fax message, a communication link (25) being automatically selected on the basis of the transmission priority code and the instant in time of forwarding being determined within a time interval determined by the transmission priority code.
Cette invention concerne un dispositif permettant de recevoir ou d'envoyer par télécopie des messages qui comportent des informations de type instructions, entre autres, lesquelles informations comprennent des informations relatives à l'adresse de destination (7(j)) ainsi qu'un code de priorité de transmission (8(j)). Ce dispositif comprend une mémoire (32) ainsi qu'un système de décodage (31) connecté à la mémoire, lequel système va recevoir des messages par télécopie et décoder les informations de type instructions. Ce système va également stocker, avec les autres informations contenues dans la mémoire, les informations de type instructions décodées pour chaque message télécopié. Le dispositif comprend également un système d'envoi de télécopies (33) connecté à la mémoire, lequel système va lire pour chaque message télécopié les informations de type instructions décodées ainsi que les informations stockées dans la mémoire (32). Ce système va également envoyer les informations du message télécopié, au moins, une liaison de communication (25) étant automatiquement choisie en fonction du code de priorité de transmission, tandis que le moment où se fait l'envoi est choisi dans un intervalle défini par le code de priorité de transmission.
