Folding apparatus and systems are described for providing multi-folded products utilizing a folding board (100) having at least o ne pressurized nip (103) positioned proximate the folding operat ion. A folded product (61) is directed through a first pressurized nip (103), comprising a roller (102) and a first surface (116) a second folding board (100), positioned upstream of the folding operation and a second pressurized nip (107), comprising a roller (106) and a second surface of the folding board, positioned downstream of the folding operation. Positioning pressurized nips (103,107) proximate the folding operation improves the integrity of the folds created within the product and also creates distinct, uniformly oriented fold lines.
