A device is described for maintaining a predominately constant pressure on, and flow of drilling fluid in, a drill string (100) where drilling fluid is supplied via a circulation system for drilling fluid. The device comprises a mainly elongated, internally hollow body (10) arranged to surround the drill string where the hollow body (10) comprises at least an upper pressure chamber (40a) and a lower pressure chamber (40b) connected with respective inlet and/or outlet (50a, 50b) for drilling fluid from or to the drilling fluid circulation system, as said pressure chambers (40a, 40b) are able to be closed and separated by an intermediate valve (70) arranged for circulation of drilling fluid into or out of the drill string (100) during coupling up or disconnecting of a new length of drill string (100). A method to maintain the mainly constant pressure of drilling fluid in a drill string is also described.
L'invention porte sur un dispositif pour maintenir une pression essentiellement constante sur et un écoulement de fluide de forage dans un train de tiges (100), le fluide de forage étant alimenté par l'intermédiaire d'un système de circulation pour fluide de forage. Le dispositif comprend un corps creux à l'intérieur, principalement allongé (10), conçu pour entourer le train de tiges lorsque le corps creux (10) comprend au moins une chambre de pression supérieure (40a) et une chambre de pression inférieure (40b) reliées à une entrée et/ou une sortie (50a, 50b) respective pour acheminer le fluide du système de circulation de fluide de forage ou vers celui-ci, étant donné que lesdites chambres de pression (40a, 40b) peuvent être fermées et séparées par une soupape intermédiaire (70) conçue pour assure la circulation du fluide de forage dans le train de tiges (100) ou hors de celui-ci (100) pendant l'accouplement ou la déconnexion d'une nouvelle longueur de train de tiges (100). L'invention concerne également un procédé pour maintenir la pression essentiellement constante d'un fluide de forage dans un train de tiges.
