A method and device are provided for use in medical applications that permit affordable 3D imaging of blood flow using a low profile easily long-term unattended Doppler ultrasound monitoring in spite of motion of the patient or pad. The pad, and associated processor collects, Doppler processes ultrasound blood velocity data in a 3D region through the use of a planar phased array of piezoelectric elements. The invention locks onto, and tracks the points in 3D space that produce the locally maximum blood velocity signals. The integrated coordinates of points acquired by the accurate tracking process is used to form a 3D map of blood vessels, provide a display that can be used to select multiple points of interest for expanded data collection, for long-term continuous, and unattended blood flow monitoring.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif conçus pour des applications médicales qui autorisent une imagerie en 3D abordable du débit sanguin à l'aide d'une surveillance par échographie Doppler aisément automatisée à long terme à profil mince en dépit du mouvement du patient ou du bloc. Ce dernier et le processeur associé recueillent les données échographiques de la vélocité sanguine qui subissent un traitement Doppler dans une zone en 3D au moyen d'un réseau plan en phase d'éléments piézoélectriques. Les points dans un espace en 3D, qui produisent les signaux localement maximaux de vélocité sanguine sont verrouillés et repérés. Les coordonnées de points solidaires obtenues par le processus de repérage exact servent à former une carte des vaisseaux sanguins en 3D, présenter un affichage que l'on peut utiliser pour sélectionner des points d'intérêt multiples pour une collection de données élargie, pour une surveillance continue et automatisée à long terme du débit sanguin.
