The invention concerns an improved method and device for producing a rolled snack, using an extruder which typically has a plurality of apertures, through which an extruded product exits the extruder. Each aperture is in the shape of a spiral. When the desired length of the stream or strand of extruded product exits via an aperture, the strand is cut at the base, thereby producing individual snack items which appear to have been rolled after the layering process.

L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil améliorés utilisés dans la production d'un snack enroulé à l'aide d'une extrudeuse présentant typiquement une pluralité d'orifices à travers lesquels un produit extrudé sort de l'extrudeuse. Chacun desdits orifices présente une forme en spirale. Lorsqu'une longueur désirée du flux ou filament de produit extrudé sort d'un orifice, celui-ci est coupé au niveau de sa base, produisant ainsi des snacks individuels semblant avoir été enroulés après avoir été laminés.
