The invention concerns a method which consists in passing a train of solitons through a Sagnac interferometer (6) with phase-shifted semiconductor amplifier (A) and in controlling said amplifier by an amplitude modulated optical synchronisation signal (Y) at a frequency half the train frequency bit, said amplifier phase shift in said interferometer and said signal parameters receiving values such that two adjacent solitons of said train are transmitted with reverse optical phase relation. The invention is applicable in optical fibre telecommunication networks.

Selon cette invention on fait passer un train de solitons (S) dans un interféromètre de Sagnac (6) à amplificateur semiconducteur décalé (A) et on commande cet amplificateur par un signal de synchronisation optique (Y) modulé en amplitude à une fréquence moitié d'une fréquence bit de ce train, le décalage de cet amplificateur dans ledit interféromètre et les paramètres dudit signal de synchronisation recevant des valeurs telles que deux solitons adjacents dudit train soient transmis avec inversion de leur relation de phase optique. L'invention s'applique dans les réseaux de télécommunication à fibres optiques.
