A device (1) and a method using a device for simulating an operation on an organ. The device comprises a pair of eyepieces (3) for viewing the organ, a slit lamp simulating unit, a magnifying optics simulating unit (8), one or two miniature video screens secured to the pair of eyepieces, a computing unit for generating a video image of the simulated organ being examined and displaying the image on said miniature video screen(s), and an examining lens simulating unit, said simulating unit and said computing unit being such that changing any one of the parameters affecting the movement of the pair of eyepieces, the slit lamp setting, the magnification and the examining lens causes a real-time or substantially real-time change in the video image of the simulated organ.

Il s'agit d'un dispositif (1) et d'un procédé utilisant un dispositif de simulation d'une intervention sur un organe. Le dispositif comporte un binoculaire (3) d'observation de l'organe, des moyens de simulation d'une lampe à fente, des moyens de simulation (8) d'une optique de grossissement, un ou deux écrans video miniaturisés solidaires du binoculaire, des moyens de calcul propres à générer une image vidéo de l'organe simulé à examiner et à projeter ladite image sur le ou lesdits écrans vidéo miniaturisés, et des moyens de simulation d'un verre d'examen, lesdits moyens de simulation et lesdits moyens de calcul étant agencés pour que le changement de l'un quelconque des paramètres relatifs au déplacement dn binoculaire, au réglage de la lampe à fente, au grossissement et au verre d'examen, modifie l'image vidéo de l'organe simulé en temps réel ou sensiblement en temps réel.
