A device and a method for teaching responsible chores to children are comprised of a scheduling chart having delineated areas printed on an outer surface thereof. The delineated areas are associated with specific days in a week. The chart has the capability of retaining flat magnetic pieces in the delineated areas. Some of the flat magnetic pieces have a chore to be done printed on a front surface, and a chore accomplished message on a rear surface thereof. A reward indicator message is removably secured on one or more of the rear surfaces of the flat magnetic pieces to indicate a specific reward. After the flat magnetic piece containing the reward is flipped in its associated delineated areas to indicate a chore accomplished, the reward is visible and is due.
