The invention relates to a method for detecting an occlusion, according to which a signal that can characterize a conveying status of a fluid is measured, and it is determined from a difference between two such test signals whether an occlusion has occurred. Also disclosed is a device for detecting an occlusion, comprising a sensor for measuring a fluid pressure and/or a force, and an evaluation unit which is able to carry out a method according to one of said claims.
