The invention relates to a device for the transmission of data over a telephone line, providing a simple and economical interactive television service, whereby said device comprises the following: a first connector, for connection of a fixed line telephone to the device, a HF receiver, for receiving data transmitted to the device by radio and/or a HF transmitter, for transmission of data from the device to a peripheral device by radio and a modem device, for remote transmission of data from the device by the fixed line connection and/or for receipt of data transmitted to the device by means of the fixed line connection. The invention further relates to a method for transmission of data over a telephone line. The invention finally relates to a system for an interactive television service.
L'invention concerne un dispositif de transmission de données par l'intermédiaire d'une ligne téléphonique. L'objectif de cette invention est de créer un service de télévision interactive de manière simple et économique. A cet effet, ledit dispositif comporte un premier raccord servant à raccorder un téléphone fixe au dispositif, un second raccord servant à raccorder ce dispositif à un raccord de téléphone fixe, un récepteur HF destiné à recevoir par radio des données transmises au dispositif et/ou un émetteur HF destiné à émettre par radio des données du dispositif vers un périphérique ainsi qu'un dispositif modem destiné à transmettre à distance des données du dispositif par l'intermédiaire du raccord fixe et/ou à recevoir par l'intermédiaire de ce dernier des données transmises au dispositif. Ladite invention concerne également un procédé de transmission de données par l'intermédiaire d'une ligne téléphonique ainsi qu'un système permettant de créer un service de télévision interactive.
