A device for reducing the curvature of a toe nail so as to deter ingrowing of the toe nail comprises an upper member and a lower member interconnected by an interconnecting portion interconnecting the members only at the center. The upper member includes an elongate tab which extends rearwardly from a front portion. The front portion of the upper member and the whole of the lower member includes a center section attached to the interconnecting member and a pair of wings which are curved rearwardly and downwardly for engaging the upper and lower surfaces respectively of the nail. The device is held in place by engagement of the wings with the upper and lower surfaces and by the binding of the tab into place on the top of the toe nail with an adhesive bandage.
Dispositif pour réduire la courbure d'un ongle d'orteil de façon à prévenir la formation d'un ongle incarné; il comprend un membre supérieur et un membre inférieur interconnectés par une section n'interconnectant les membres qu'à leur partie centrale. Le membre supérieur comporte une patte allongée dirigée vers l'arrière à partir d'une portion frontale. La portion frontale du membre supérieur et l'ensemble du membre inférieur comprennent une section centrale fixée au membre d'interconnexion et une paire d'ailes courbées vers l'arrière et le bas pour engager respectivement les surfaces supérieure et inférieure de l'ongle. Le dispositif est maintenu en place par engagement des ailes avec les surfaces supérieure et inférieure et par fixation de la patte sur le dessus de l'ongle d'orteil à l'aide d'une bande adhésive.
