A method of waving a tress of hair comprises the steps of inserting the tress of hair (14) into an elastic tube (11), securing one end of the tube to the tress or hair, extending the tube lengthwise and securing the opposite end thereof to the tress of hair. When the elastic tube is released, the tress of hair contained therein is caused to assume a sinuous waved form. The tress of hair is treated with a chemical substance either prior to insertion in the tube or when in the tube to cause the tress of hair to retain its waved form.

Procédé d'obtention d'ondulations sur une mèche de cheveux comprenant les étapes consistant à insérer la mèche de cheveux (14) dans un tube élastique (11), à attacher une extrémité du tube sur la mèche de cheveux, à étendre le tube dans le sens de la longueur et à attacher l'extrémité opposée de celui-ci sur cette même mèche. Lorsqu'on enlève le tube élastique, la mèche de cheveux qui y était maintenue a été contrainte de prendre une forme sinueuse ondulée. On traite la mèche de cheveux à l'aide d'une substance chimique, avant son insertion dans le tube ou lorsqu'elle est dans le tube, afin que le cheveu conserve sa forme ondulée.
