Additionally, the device includes a dam that may be used to selectively block suction from the vacuum source. The method for forming a mold for a dental prosthetic includes forming an impression with a dental tray including a dam and then forming a mold within the impression after portions of the dam are selectively removed to allow suction to draw in moldable material to the desired teeth.
