A device for allowing air to circulate is disclosed. An embodiment of the device has a base (13) having an arcuate first side (16) and a second side. The second side has a rib extending from the second side. The device also has a means for attaching the base to a hat (30). An alternative embodiment of the device is a vent having a first anchoring surface and a second anchoring surface. A truss extends from the first anchoring surface to the second anchoring surface. The devices described above may be used in a hat to allow air circulation. Another embodiment of the present invention is a vented hat having a corrugated head band. Finally, a method making a vented hat is disclosed.

L'invention concerne un dispositif permettant à l'air de circuler. Dans un mode de réalisation, ce dispositif comprend une base (13) pourvue d'un premier côté arqué (16) et d'un second côté. Le second côté comporte une nervure qui se prolonge à partir dudit second côté. Ce dispositif comprend également un organe destiné à fixer ladite base à une casquette (30). Dans un autre mode de réalisation, il comprend un système de ventilation doté d'une première surface d'ancrage et d'une seconde surface d'ancrage. Le dispositif susmentionné peut être utilisé dans une casquette afin d'y faciliter la circulation d'air. Dans un dernier mode de réalisation, la présente invention concerne une casquette ventilée munie d'une bande serre-tête ondulée. Elle se rapporte enfin à un procédé de fabrication d'une casquette ventilée.
