A device is proposed for the electrolytic separation of metals in a metal recovery cell with a rotating cathode system. The latter comprises a supporting cylinder (11) with at least one slit (21) and at least one contact chamber (25) behind the slit, at least one sheathed cathode (20), contact elements and a drive shaft (5) provided with current supply means. The said device facilitates simple manipulation of the supporting cylinder (11) with the sheathed cathode (20) and the choice of material for the sheathed cathode, since this material can be matched as closely as possible to the particular electrolytic separation process in question. The process disclosed can be used in the extraction of metals from metal-containing solutions of sufficient electrically conductivity and in the depletion of such solutions for the purpose of reintroducing them into the work process.
La présente invention concerne un dispositif de séparation électrolytique de métaux dans une cellule de récupération de métaux au moyen d'un système de cathode rotative comportant un cylindre porteur (11) avec au moins une fente (21) et au moins une chambre (25) montée à l'arrière, prévue pour l'établissement du contact, au moins une cathode enrobée (20), des organes de contact et un arbre d'entraînement (5) équipé pour être alimenté électriquement. Ledit dispositif permet une manipulation aisée du cylindre porteur (11) avec la cathode enrobée (20) ainsi que le choix du matériau de la cathode enrobée, celui-ci pouvant être adapté de façon optimale à chaque séparation électrolytique. L'invention concerne également un procédé applicable lors de l'élimination de métaux contenus dans des solutions métallifères suffisamment électroconductrices, ainsi que lors de l'appauvrissement de ces solutions destinées à être réintroduites dans le processus de fonctionnement.
