ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A device at a slack adjuster for manually rotating a spindle therein at the replacement of worn-out brake blocks, the spindle being in clutch engagement with a non-rotatable adjuster ear. In order to provide for a rotational movement of the spin- dle by external circumferential movements back and forth, a lock- ing spring is arranged between a part of the spindle and an ex- ternally actuatable operating sleeve.
