ABSTRACT A refiner comprising a disc-shaped carrier is provided with refiner segments in a ring extending all around the carrier. The refiner seg- ments are retained on the carrier by cams and grooves which keyingly engage with each other. Each refiner segment further is locked individually on the carrier by means of a separate movable locking member, which is located in the carrier and co-operates with a recess in the rear surface of each refiner segment.
