ABSTRACT A disc refiner with two annular grinding bodies provided in a box and facing each other, having a rotor body in the box, said rotor body being designed with two annular grinding bodies facing one each of the two annular grinding bodies provided in the box, so that two grinding zones are formed, one on either axial side of the rotor body, where the ground material is processed while passing radially outwards, said rotor body being designed with a cavity with an axial inlet for the ground material and with radially converging, essentially V-shaped walls with apertures on to the grinding zones for the introduction of the ground material to said grinding zones from the cavity. In the cavity an even number of axial walls have been provided between the radially converging walls, whereby a number of radial chambers are formed in the cavity. Each chamber has an aperture on to only one grinding zone, the apertures in every other chamber opening out on to one of the grinding zones, and those in the remaining chambers opening out on to the other grinding zones.
