A device for absorbing electric noise on a cable contains a casing with ferrite elements, which are arranged around the cable. For fixing the ferrite elements in the casing and for fixing the casing to the cable use is made of deformable, rubber-like material cushions, which as a result of their deformation bring about a retaining force. Fixing to the cable takes place without projections or the like penetrating the cable insulation, so that the cable is protected.
