A hair styling device for smoothing and straightening hair strands on a scalp region, comprising, in combination: two hingedly attached, movably opposed arms each of said arms comprising a hair strand gripping means (1) ; heating means (21) incorporated into the gripping means (1) for providing heat to the hair strands; a reservoir (6) in fluid communication with a means of delivery of the gripping means (1 )which delivers a nonvolatile styling active delivered as droplets having a Dv(90) of less than about 30 microns. A method for straightening hair strands on a scalp region wherein hair to be straightened is passed under tension between a gripping means (1) , wherein the gripping means (1) provides a heating means (21) , and a styling active comprising nonvolatile compounds, wherein the styling active is delivered as droplets having a Dv(90) of less than about 30 microns.

La présente invention concerne un dispositif de coiffure qui permet de lisser et raidir des mèches de cheveux sur une région du cuir chevelu, lequel dispositif comprend, en combinaison : deux bras opposés mobiles reliés entre eux par charnière, chacun des bras comprenant des moyens de retenue de mèche de cheveux (1) ; des moyens de chauffage (21) intégrés dans les moyens de retenue (1), qui sont destinés à chauffer les mèches de cheveux ; un réservoir (6) en communication fluidique avec des moyens de distribution des moyens de retenue (1) qui distribuent une substance de coiffure active non volatile sous la forme de gouttelettes possédant un Dv(90) inférieur à 30 microns. L'invention se rapporte également à un procédé qui permet de raidir des mèches de cheveux sur une région du cuir chevelu, selon lequel les cheveux à raidir sont passés sous tension entre les moyens de retenue (1), les moyens de retenue fournissant des moyens de chauffage (21) ; et à une substance de coiffure active comprenant des composés non volatils, ladite substance étant distribuée sous la forme de gouttelettes possédant un Dv(90) inférieur à 30 microns environ.
