The invention relates to a device for adjusting the width of the waistband of a skirt or a pair of trousers. The inventive device has a U-shaped clip which slides on to the waistband (10) perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction of said waistband. Said clip consists of two limbs (1, 2). Said limbs are interconnected on the top side and run essentially parallel to each another. The waistband (10) is arranged in a fold formed by said waistband (10) passing by the clip, essentially parallel thereto, first to one limb (1) of the clip. The waistband loops around said first limb before running back in the opposite direction, between the two limbs (1, 2) of the clip, to the other limb (2). It loops around said second limb before being finally guided back in the opposite direction. Each side of the clip is also provided with an arm (3, 4) which extends vertically. Said arms are provided near the plane defined by the clip and fit on the respective outside flank of the fold on the side facing away from the clip.
L'invention concerne un dispositif permettant d'ajuster la largeur d'une ceinture de jupe ou de pantalon, qui comprend un étrier en U, glissé sur la ceinture (10), perpendiculairement à son sens longitudinal et présentant deux branches (1, 2) sensiblement parallèles, interconnectées au niveau de la face supérieure. La ceinture (10) s'étend en un pli formé du fait que ladite ceinture (10) passe devant l'étrier et s'étend sensiblement parallèlement à lui, en passant d'abord par une branche (1) de l'étrier et l'entourant en formant une boucle, traversant ensuite en sens inverse l'espace compris entre les deux branches (1, 2) de l'étrier, pour parvenir jusqu'à l'autre branche (2) qu'elle entoure en formant une boucle. Pour finir, ladite ceinture est guidée à nouveau en sens inverse. De part et d'autre de l'étrier, il est prévu un bras (3, 4) vertical disposé à proximité du plan défini par l'étrier, qui repose sur le flanc sortant (13) correspondant du pli sur la face opposée à l'étrier.
